Each of us are on our own spiritual journey. Our personal faith can be a source of inner strength. Almost all major faiths follow some form of the Golden Rule: treat others as you would want to be treated. People who laugh and have supportive friends live longer, are happier, and healthier.
Mindfulness is a form of conscious meditation. That is, mindfulness is your mind being conscious communication with your body and surroundings. Prayer is communication with Spirit. When you pray - how do you know if Spirit is communicating with you unless your are attuned and aware? Once we become spiritually aware of our relationship with Spirit, some say that is when we are really born again.

Dr. Len Delony, a Methodist minister, is a leader in the mindfulness communities in North Texas. Dr. Len uses mindfulness as a way for spiritual awakening. As a form of prayer, mindfulness helps us to achieve an inner peace, improve our health, and increase neural plasticity.
If you'd like to join a "circle of faith" group, wonderful! The only requirement is that everyone meet with open minds and hearts. According to an old study by Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, there exist roughly 43,000 Christian denominations worldwide in 2012. As well, back then 2.3 denominations were being formed each day. Let us put the practices aside, and simply treat our brothers and sisters how we would like to be treated - without judgment but with love and respect.
